Terms and Conditions

  • The submission of the Booking Form by the party leader and receipt of monies for the deposit confirms acceptance of the Terms and Conditions set out and shall be binding on the persons booking and intending to occupy the premises. The Management Team or Owner should be notified regarding any Guest alterations to the Booking Form.
  • No parties of guests who are all under the age of 21 will be accepted.
  • Same sex parties of guests will only be allowed with the owners consent.
  • No pets accepted. (Guide dogs are an exception to this rule.)
  • For the comfort of all our guests, Solana villa is Non-Smoking, this includes the Games room, however smoking is permitted outside the villa and on the pool patio area. 
  • To ensure comfort, security and peace of mind, our home is registered with the State Authorities and is in full compliance with all relevant legislation.

General

  • The Solana villa is available from 4.00pm local time.
  • Departure time is 10.00am unless otherwise agreed with the Management Team or the Home Owners. 
  • Vacating after 10.00am without prior consent may incur a charge equivalent to one day’s accommodation. 
  • All bed linen and towels are provided for your needs.
  • Please do not use bathroom towels for the pool. Pool towels are provided.

Payment

  • A non-refundable deposit of 25% of the total cost is due within 7 days of you initial reservation, to be sent with a completed booking form.
  • Payment of the balance is due in full, eight weeks prior to your arrival date. 
  • A refundable Security Deposit of £250 must also be paid at this time.
  • Pool heat is an additional £100 per week per day and if required it should be stated on the booking form. If not and pool heat is required once you are at the Villa you can contact the Management Team and payment for this should be made to them in cash.
  • All cheques should be made payable to Mr. M. Haughian.

Security/Breakages 

  • The guests are held responsible for any damage or breakages that may be caused to the property and its contents. All damages and faults caused or found at the Villa must be reported to our Management Team at the earliest opportunity. (Having had kids of our own we realise minor accidents do happen, so if you break things like plates, glasses, cups etc please just replace them)
  • The security deposit of £250 will be repaid within 14 days of departure, providing the Management Team have reported no breakages and that the key has been returned. The Villas inventory is checked before and after your stay and any faults reported which may result in additional cleaning charges for spills, stains etc will be deducted from your security deposit.
  • We reserve the right to retain the security deposit (either in part or full) to cover breakages, damage, non return or loss of a key and tampering with any of the locked control boxes.
  • We reserve the right to pursue guests in a court of law for recompense, for any and all damages caused which may exceed the value of the security deposit within 14 days of being served notice of this.
  • Florida has a sub-tropical climate and care must be taken with food that is left uncovered. Apart from spoiling and contaminating areas, it can attract insects and other pests very quickly. To reduce this risks please ensure that no food or crumbs are left on worktops, tables, floors, or in the pool area and that all spills are cleaned up immediately. Any costs incurred for additional pest control and/or cleaning may be passed on to you.

Safety and Security

  • Due to Florida State Fire Regulations under no circumstances may there be more than the maximum number of persons identified on the Booking form occupying the property.
  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times whilst in the Games room using the equipment and in the pool area. A Child safety fence is fitted for extra safety by the pool, if removed extra care must be taken as your Child's safety could be at risk.
  • Diving in the shallow end of the pool is not allowed. 
  • The pool is used entirely at the guest's own risk. Please note that we cannot be responsible for the condition or safety of any pool inflatables or toys left by other guests.
  • For safety reasons, glass/breakables are not permitted in the pool area, please use the plastic beakers/plates etc. provided.
  • A safe is provided for you to use.

Complaints or Dissatisfaction

  • In the unlikely event of dissatisfaction or a complaint during your stay please contact the Management Team immediately.
  • If the matter cannot be resolved, please contact the owner in writing explaining fully your dissatisfaction or complaint within 14 days of the end of your rental period.
  • If the problem has not been reported to the Management Team during your stay at the Villa the owner cannot accept any responsibility.

                                             Cancellation Notice and Cancellation Charges

Cancellation by Guests

  • In the event of your party needing to cancel, the following conditions and charges will apply.
  • More than 8 weeks prior to arrival the charge will be the 25% Deposit.
    8 to 4 weeks to arrival 50% of the rental cost will be charged (excluding security deposit)
    Less than 4 weeks 100% of the rental cost will be charged (excluding security deposit)
  • Failure to pay the final balance by the due date (8 weeks prior to arrival) may result in loss of the booking and deposit. If we do not receive payment, we will endeavor to contact the guest but if we receive no payment or communication, then unfortunately we reserve the right to cancel the booking and retain the deposit.
  • All guests must arrange their own personal holiday insurance to adequately cover, death, injury, illness, accidents, damages, loss and cancellations prior to going on holiday.

                                      Cancellation by Villa Owner or the Management Team

  • In the extremely unlikely event that personal circumstances necessitate cancellation of the booking, we will refund any monies paid by the party (without interest, compensation or consequential loss of any kind). However, we will always seek to relocate your booking to a Villa of a similar or superior standard. 
  • No compensation will be paid in the event that we have to change your accommodation or in the event that a party decides to cancel the booking because the alternative accommodation offered is deemed unsatisfactory.
  • Force Majeure: The owners and Management Team cannot be responsible or accept responsibility or be liable in respect of damage or changes caused by Force Majeure, e.g. strikes, floods, airport closures, delays, adverse weather conditions or any other event which is beyond their control.

Disclaimer

  • Liability - The property, Solana Villa, is privately owned and neither the owners nor the Management Team accept any responsibility whatsoever for injuries, accidents or death to persons or for loss of, or damage to, personal effects, howsoever caused as a result of the use of the Games room equipment, Pool or any piece of equipment or appliance used whilst renting Solana Villa.
  • Nor do we accept liability for the failure of equipment or appliances or mains services, but our Management Team will work quickly and to the best of their ability to repair any and all items under their control as soon as possible.
  • It is the adult’s responsibility to ensure that children are properly supervised  inside the villa and whilst using the games room, but most importantly whilst in and around the pool area.
  • Right of Entry - The owners of Solana Villa and the Management Team reserve the right of entry at any time (this is to undertake such workers as Pool Maintenance, Gardenering, Cleaneing, Villa Maintenance etc.) but they will endevour to contact the Guests first.
  • Whilst all information supplied is deemed to the best of our knowledge correct, it is understood that the information supplied is for guidance purposes only and does not form part of the contract.
  • The £/$ exchange rate on this web site is checked regularly and is subject to alteration without notice, as the exchange rate varies.
  • We reserve the right to amend this web site without prior notification.

Law

  • These Terms and Conditions are subject to and shall be constructed in accordance with Manx and English laws and the parties hereby submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Manx courts.
